In September, SERASI continued to address health, education, governance, and related community needs through crosscutting grants to local organizations in the Jayapura area (consisting of Jayapura City and the Districts of Jayapura and Keerom) and the Pegunungan Tengah (Central Highlands) region (including Wamena Town and the Districts of Jayawijaya, Yahukimo, Lanny Jaya, and Tolikara). Highlights are presented below:

• Positive Deviance and the Nutrition Department at the Jayapura Health Polytechnic
• Ilalang and Multicultural themes in Papua’s Elementary School Curriculum
• Pancaran Kasih, KiPRA, YHI Activities, and YASUMAT, Humi Inane, and YUKEMDI Program Activities/Highlights
• Integrating Livelihoods-related Elements of Program Activities in the Highlands
• SERASI Presentations to Local Government in Jayapura and Wamena
